Hello, my name is Sakura Tang. I am currently a student who goes to the City College of New York. I plan to pursue a major in Computer Science. My interest in this field actually stemmed from a certain chapter in my life. Art had always been a passion I had since I was five as it served as an outlet for creative expression. However, my perspective shifted when I joined the Pratt Young Scholars program. An extracurricular that introduced me to coding and graphic design. Despite having little to no experience in these areas, I quickly discovered my ability to tackle complex problems and create innovative solutions. This newfound interest led me to make the tough decision of choosing to major in computer science instead of art. Although I initially hesitated, I aim to gain real-world experience and aspire to use my creativity as a future software engineer, to contribute to technological advancements and make a difference in the world. 

This website showcases all of the writing I have done and my growth over time. Good writing skills are essential when it comes to my field as it can help me think about my ideas more critically and communicate them in a way that is understandable to my peers.
